Equipment Management Program

TKA is responsible for operations of each hospital’s biomedical departments, including the management of biomedical service contracts and the providing of preventive maintenance and repair services with respect to all in-scope clinical engineering equipment.  We maintain a comprehensive inventory/database of all medical equipment at each hospital within the new TEAM software module.  Our preventative maintenance is managed through this software to drive and coordinate activities.

In collaboration with in-house Finance Departments, TKA works to consolidate all budgets related to these services.  The cost of repairs for all equipment is covered under the overall contract between TKA and each health system.  Furthermore, TKA is accountable and responsible for all expenditures for these services.  Although we do not manufacture any medical equipment, our business entails the assumption of financial risk associated with the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
